Postcard questions
How do I share a gift from my Secret Santa?
Take a photo of the gift and upload it here: we wrap it in a festive frame with “Secret Santa 2026” and, if you like, your group's name. Post the postcard to your Instagram stories or feed, to LinkedIn, or drop it in the chat with friends — that's how your Santa finds out they nailed it.
How do I take a nice photo of a gift?
Shoot by a window in the daytime — daylight beats any lamp. Hold the gift in your hands or put it on a plain background, and keep a bit of wrapping, ribbon or fir branches in the frame. Hold your phone upright: you can still move and zoom the photo inside the postcard.
What is this postcard?
A tool to share what your Secret Santa gave you: a photo of the gift in a festive frame with the game, the year and, if you like, your group's name. Post it in your stories, the feed or on LinkedIn, or drop it in the work chat.
Do I have to have played on secret.gift?
No. Anyone can make one, even if the draw happened on paper or in another app. If you did play on secret.gift, the postcard is also inside your group, with the group's name already filled in.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. The postcard is made right in your browser; the photo never reaches our server and is not stored anywhere.
What sizes does it come in?
Story — 1080×1920, post — 1080×1350 (4:5, the tallest picture Instagram shows in the feed without cropping). A photo of any size fits the polaroid window: drag it with a finger and zoom in.
How do I post it to Instagram Stories?
On a phone, tap Share and pick Instagram → Story. Or tap Save and add the picture from your gallery. On an iPhone, Save opens a menu with Save Image, which puts the postcard in Photos.
Is it free?
Yes, completely. There's just a small secret.gift at the bottom of the postcard.
My photo won't open — what now?
Usually it's a HEIC photo on a computer or a file over 30 MB. Try a regular phone photo, a JPG or a PNG. Still stuck? Tell us via “Something broken?”.
